There’s an opossum on my stairs!

(This isn’t really him — I was too busy wrangling to get my camera.)

Just days after Ippoc’s mole sighting, I walked out this morning to find a baby opossum on my stairs. He was on the landing between the third and fourth floors, headed for the penthouse. We did a little dance trying to get him downstairs.

I scootched him down to the door to outside, but he got past me behind the recycling bins and I couldn’t get him out. At least that’s on the ground floor now; maybe when traffic dies down he’ll leave quietly. They’re nocturnal, so he’s probably taking a little nap right now.

And I was wrong — even with all their ugliness and big teeth, those little suckers are adorable.
