Mr. Man and I took BART together from the city back home to the east bay yesterday. The signs that announce train routes were out, so the conductors were announcing routes way more than usual (What train are we on? Oh, that’s right, Dublin Pleasanton…that’s what I thought you said the first three times…).

We were sitting at Embarcadero waiting for the train to start moving again after the destination of the train had been announced fifteen or so times and the doors had shut, and the conductor suddenly came back on the air:

“Nine or ten minutes…if we make it…it’s hit or miss right now…”

You really want to announce that to a train full of people right before we go into the tube? If we make it? Oh, sheesh, thanks for the vote of confidence…
