the light at the end of the tunnel

April 23, 2007 § Leave a comment

There are a ton of incredibly strong women around these parts who really know how to race their bikes. I love showing up to a race and seeing “big” teams represented, and even more I love seeing the local teams put a little bit of smack down on them.

But more than that? I love seeing the little hints of improvement in my own racing, love feeling strong enough to race instead of waiting for the race to happen around me. Sometimes the overall strength of the group keeps me from seeing my own progress in context and can be disheartening, but it makes the little victories that much more satisfying.

Fun fun fun.
