satisfaction

(Without names to protect the Tivoers.)

Flanders last night…hot hot hot. I was stoked to see the wheel-sucker get nipped after he sat on and refused to work for so very long. On one level I know it’s tactically savvy to refuse pulls when you have a teammate bridging, it’s how you work the other racers down…on another level I have this (apparently outdated) idea of the honor involved in these races. That level is the one I inhabit when I’m sitting in front of the television, screaming for the racer who is racing the hardest (and therefore who is less likely to win).

So yesterday’s finish and that disappointed handlebar-bang from the runner up? So sweet.
