Kathmandu

December 11, 2006 § Leave a comment

Back to this grind, after what seems like more than three days of turning the world upside down and trying to fit it all back together.

We accomplished what we went to do.

We jumped at the beginning of the gun salute.

We discovered what the Arlington Lady whispers to the family after military honors have been completed.

We were offered a summer trip to Nepal.

We accepted the offer.

We smuggled treasures onto a plane, but the police were not called to talk to us (though the TSA said they should be).

We failed to sleep on the plane.

We were tremendously thankful to be home.
